Join the Rhode Island Mycological Society and the East Greenwich Land Trust for an autumn mushroom walk at Frenchtown Park. We will look closely at the fungi that thrive in Rhode Island’s forests. Along the way, you’ll learn beginner-friendly identification tips and discover how fungi shape the ecology of our landscapes.
This guided walk is designed for all ages and welcomes everyone, families, beginners, students, and anyone curious about the natural world. The trails pass by a pond, The event is free, but registration is required. Expect the foray to wrap up around 2:00 PM, though it may run longer depending on what we find.

The route is generally easy to moderate — some slopes, roots, and rocks
