Rhode Island Fungi Fair at Borders Farm Preservation

Join us at historic Borders Farm for the Rhode Island Fungi Fair, a free community event where science, art, and nature meet. Set on nearly 200 years of agricultural history on land now recognized as a working farm and community hub, this fair blends learning with celebration in an open-air setting.

Explore our Vendor Village, browse artisan and forager tables, and take in workshops, demos, talks, and hands-on activities. Guided walks will help you connect fungi to the broader landscape.

Music and family-friendly experiences make this a relaxed spring day for all interests.

Borders Farm was recently honored as the 2025 Conservation Farm of the Year by the Northern Rhode Island Conservation District! This working farm is an example of how to preserve land and support natural plant, animal, and fungal communities while creating a space for scientific research, family picnics, and community events.

Whether you’re curious about mushroom stories, ecological connections, edible species, or creative work inspired by fungi, the Fungi Fair is a place to learn, observe, and be inspired.
